About the author

A lifelong reader of speculative fiction, I write character-driven fantasy blending myth, horror, and emotional realism. I speak and study seven languages, including Russian and Belarusian, and draw inspiration from Slavic folklore and post-Soviet cultural influences. Outside writing, I work as a finance director in the luxury hospitality industry, where years navigating high-pressure environments and larger-than-life personalities have shaped my approach to character and storytelling. A DEAL FOR THE DAMNED is my debut novel.

Slavic Folklore Month : #SlavicFolkloreMonth

This June, I’m exploring the myths, monsters, and traditions that helped shape A DEAL FOR THE DAMNED. Expect witches, evil skeletons, forest spirits, pagan rituals, impossible bargains, and the strange logic of old Slavic stories. Some of these figures may be familiar. Others have spent centuries hiding in the shadows of larger myths. Rather than retelling folklore, I’m interested in why these stories endure: what they reveal about fear, survival, memory, sacrifice, and the choices people make when there are no good options left. After all, every legend was once someone’s warning.
