Eight of Swords

The first book in the Lost Cards Universe, Eight of Swords, follows Kali, a disenchanted analyst, reluctantly pulled into a deadly game of magic at a corporate party she didn’t even want to attend in the first place. Now, however, caught as a pawn in a challenge between four demonic magicians, she must compete against three of her colleagues, crack the secret of the one betting on her, the mysterious Harlequin, and figure out how to get back to her life. WIP: Crossover SFF centered around four youngsters setting out into adult life and, apart from the difficulty of navigating the ups and downs of being grown-up, have to deal with ghosts from their pasts and strange magic dangers looming over the present. Little do they know that unseen forces play a dangerous game with their world as the battlefield.
